College & Breakout Classes

One entire section of the fair is devoted to colleges, certification courses, training outlets and internships or apprenticeships with access to scholarship and funding opportunities. There will also be breakout classes that will give important information and advice for employers and employees alike. These will include everything from resume building prep to crafting a company drug and alcohol policy — and much more.
~What Every Employer Needs to Know About Marijuana (NDASA – National Certification/Jo McGuire) — 1 hour, 1 to 2 p.m., Boyd County Library Midland Branch)
~Company Drug and Alcohol Policy Building (NDASA/Jo Mcguire) – 1 hour, 2 to 3 p.m., Boyd County Library Midland Branch
~Opioid Abuse Solutions (NDASA/Renee Parsons) – 90 mins, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Boyd County Library Midland Branch
~Opioid Abuse Solutions/Second Chance Hiring Curriculum Launch (CJB/NDASA – Renee’ Parsons) — 3:30 to 5 p.m.
~Reasonable Suspicion Training (NDASA – certificate/Todd Sima) – National Certification/2 hours, 1 to 3 p.m., Boyd Convention Center
~Fit for Duty Testing (NDASA/Todd Sima) – 1 hour, 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.
~Basics of Gaining Employment/Reasonable Suspicion, Employee Viewpoint (Angela Watkins/Central Jobbank) – 90 minutes, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Boyd Convention Center
